This month, we have partnered with Tyro to improve the way you receive your Medicare rebate. Using Tyro, your rebate will now instantly be deposited into your bank account (apparently it takes on average 11 seconds!).
What do I need to do?
The way you pay doesn’t change – you can still pay using cash or EFTPOS (savings, cheque, credit card).
After you have paid the full amount, in order to get your instant rebate, simply present a bank card that is linked to a savings or cheque account. You will need to input your PIN for this transaction.
If you do not have a bank card, we can still use the usual pathway to claim the medicare rebate, and it will take about 48hrs to reach your nominated bank account with Medicare.
