Crafter Medical Centre is a GPEx training practice and is a highly regarded training placement for GP registrars, with a team of enthusiastic and committed doctors sharing a wealth of expertise and clinical experience. The practice principals are passionate about educating the next generation of great GPs in the art and craft of providing quality medical care to our community. We are well supported by our practice nurses and maintain good inter-professional relationships with allied health specialists in the area. We also offer training in Aged Care and palliative care for interested registrars as this forms part of our core clinical activities.
Dr Johanna Kilmartin is the principal GP supervisor for the GPEx training programme, heading the practice teaching team. If you are interested in general practice training, please visit the GPEx website.
Would you like to work with a group of like minded caring professionals, dedicated to quality medicine and teaching?
We have a position available right now for an associate doctor to work 4-6 sessions per week. If this interests you, contact our friendly practice manager Kate on (08) 8272 5533.
Crafter Medical Centre has five registered nurses who work efficiently as a team to support the work of the practice. Our RNs are responsible for a wide variety of clinical tasks as well as monitoring our sterilisation and medical supplies. We have regular RN led meetings to enable efficient and effective handover, and there is a strong sense of collaboration and teamwork between our nurses and doctors. Our EPC (Enhanced Primary Care) nurse coordinates and manages chronic disease management of patients with long term medical conditions.
The wide ranging nature of clinical and adjunct duties of an RN at Crafter offers a collegiate, enjoyable and varied working environment. We provide full in-house training, but a background experience in general practice/community nursing is desirable. The practice provides some support for RNs to meet their CPD requirements on application to the practice manager.
Crafter Medical Centre has a team of enthusiastic and experienced receptionists that support the doctors and nurses. They work under the supervision of the practice manager. Positions are part-time, and we provide comprehensive in-house training. A background of work experience as a medical receptionist is highly desirable but not essential.
Currently, there are no positions available.
